レゲエを世界に広めたUKの名門レーベルTrojan Records。その初期作品が驚愕の初カセット化。今作は1969年リリース、御大プロデューサーLee ‘Scratch’ Perryが立ち上げたレーベルのスタジオ・バンド、The Upsettersの名作1stアルバム。バンドが奏でるの心地良いインストゥルメンタル・トラックを中心に、Busty BrownとThe Muskyteersによるヴォーカル・トラックを2曲収録。ジャマイカのロックステディがLeeのマジックによって、キュートでポップに大変身。当時のUKで大ヒットし、50年以上経った今も聴き継がれる、ある意味とてもお洒落な音楽。
